So, another really, really important component of a robust legacy health care data system would be having access to DICOM images from years ago. We see patients who have abnormal findings on chest x-ray or CT scans and we don’t know if those are new or old. And that’s kind of a big deal if you have a spot on your chest CT and we can compare it to a CT scan from years ago and it’s the same size and in the same location, then we know that it’s, you know, less likely to be an aggressive cancer. If somebody’s had abdominal surgery and they’ve had bowel altering surgery, and we have to do a new CT scan because they’re in the emergency room for acute pain reading, a radiologist report from years ago is not the same as seeing the pictures from years ago when we’re, when we’re confronted with admiral findings on a CT scan today. It’s important for the emergency doctor, it’s invaluable for the general surgeon, and I think that’s a really critical part of providing access to the legacy data.

So, our latest innovation is our DICOM Viewer integration with HealthData Archiver^®. What that allows us to do is actually render DICOM images in our native state. Typically, in archival solutions, those DICOM images are rendered as PDF’s So, this functionality allows the viewer to do things like render view, watch in a video format. The original DICOM study itself, which again is differentiating to the marketplace. What we’re finding is our target market for that is folks that are currently using VNA’s and looking to reduce their expense or historic legacy DICOM solutions, in addition to their production solution. So, it allows for pretty significant cost reduction and replacement of those legacy applications as well.
