Ruth Barnes

Ruth Barnes joins us as General Manager for Harmony Healthcare IT Ireland and is based in Dublin. In this role she is responsible for, amongst other things, bringing the well-established Harmony story to the European side of the Atlantic.

Ruth’s career started in hospital-based clinical science, and transitioned to Healthcare IT 25 years ago, initially in Australia, where she worked for Intersystems Corp. There she was directly involved in the management of the development and delivery of the TrakCare EPR, in both public and private sectors internationally. Since returning home to Ireland, she joined Irish healthtech company, Vitro Software, where she managed client relations and project delivery for the company’s global clients. She held many roles in her time with Vitro, ultimately leading the company’s teams based in Ireland, Australia & New Zealand.

Ruth holds a BSc in Pharmacology and a PhD in Biochemistry, both from University College Dublin. Outside of work she enjoys watching her 3 sons play sport, as well as travelling, cooking & eating!
