Medical Manager Users: ICD-10 Deadline of 10/1/15 Holds Strong

The ICD-10 deadline continues to make headlines.  The question: will the 10/1/15 compliance date hold solid or be delayed yet again?  Based on what we’re hearing and reading, the deadline is still a definite go.  Here are some links to recent stories that support that claim:

• HIMSS reports that an amendment to delay ICD-10 by two years was recently rejected by the Congressional House Rules Committee.
• Health Data Management says that the House approved the Medicare Sustainable Growth Rate bill without an ICD-10 extension
• The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) provides information about a new Remittance Advice Remark Code (RARC) which alerts provider — come mid-April — about the upcoming transition to ICD-10 on 10/1/15.
