Harmony Healthcare IT Sponsors When Minutes Matter event

Live Well Ozaukee

Harmony Healthcare IT recently sponsored the third annual Live Well Ozaukee event, which is part of Aurora Healthcare Foundation’s When Minutes Matter campaign.

When Minutes Matter, is a $650,000 campaign that aims to improve the infrastructure and emergency medical training in order to empower more people in the community with lifesaving tools, when minutes — even seconds – count. The When Minutes Matter campaign is dedicated to educating as many people as possible with critical lifesaving skills

There are many times in healthcare when minutes matter. Our team of developers, migration, extraction and data analysts work on innovative applications to help ensure patient information is accessible at the point of care to help improve patient care and ultimately save lives.

There have been major advancements with electronic medical records.  What used to be hidden in a paper chart is now readily available online — real-time health statistics, integration with consumer wearables and communication via a patient portal, to name a few.

There is a continued push toward true interoperability.  Our core mission at Harmony Healthcare IT is to improve lives by preserving vital information.  Because, readily accessible historical records can change the course of treatment for a clinician, make an HIM director’s fulfillment of a release of information request more efficient and make eDiscovery in the case of litigation much easier for a lawyer.  Further, making historic patient data available through interoperability is top of mind for us.  We are focusing a lot on web services, API’s and the new HL7 FHIR standard.

We realize minutes matter and we are doing our part to bring data to the scene for those who need it. We will continue to sponsor and support initiatives that align with this mission.
