College students seeking a job where they will gain valuable experience in a database or systems analyst position should visit Harmony Healthcare IT (HHIT) at the Indiana University Bloomington, Fall Career Fair from 11am – 4 pm on Thursday, Sept. 8th at the Bloomington Convention Center. HHIT, based in South Bend, offers an internship program where college students work directly with a deep bench of senior-level technicians to help healthcare delivery organizations preserve vital information from legacy patient and employee software applications. Working with products like Health Data Archiver, interns are exposed to how a medical record archive plays a critical role in improving health care by providing a comprehensive patient narrative to clinicians when it’s needed. Comments from recent interns: “I’ve had such a great experience being an intern at Harmony Healthcare IT. The people here love to help me learn and push me toward new opportunities.” “This internship has opened me up to so many future opportunities and it is so worth it.” “I learned so many new things, including: networking with the people you know and stepping out of your comfort zone. Before this experience, I had little knowledge of healthcare information technology.” HHIT regularly visits college campuses to meet with and recruit students for internships and entry-level positions within many areas of the company. In fact, three IU-Bloomington students recently completed summer internships. Read more about the experiences of Jacob Beauchamp, Giovanna Schulte and Allison Sroda.
