Clinical Quality Measures Page Added to CMS EHR Incentives Programs Website

Summary

CMS updates EHR Incentive Programs website with Clinical Quality Measures page, offering core and optional measures for meaningful reporting.

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services’ (CMS) has updated its EHR Incentive Programs website with a new Clinical Quality Measures page.

The page contains information about the core and optional clinical quality measures and how to report on them.  Clinical Quality Measures, also known as CQMs, are a mechanism for assessing observations, treatment, processes, experience, and/or outcomes of patient care.  CQMs are required as part of meaningful use requirements for the Medicare and Medicaid Electronic Health Record (EHR) Incentive Programs.

If you have questions about CQMs, meaningful use reporting, or just EHR in general, be sure to contact Harmony Healthcare IT to get your answers.
